It was delicious and very filling. We had the Atlantic salmon with black beans. We also had the sirloin caribe with mash potatoes. The little one had mac and cheese.
The best! The VERY BEST! I love South American / Latin / Caribbean cuisine. I have read the well-deserved reviews of this restaurant and I had to give it a try. It was my birthday today, so not a better reason to go! It is a 400 mile round trip from Broken Arrow, OK. I like to drive and I like to eat ...let's go. We started with the Platanutres. which were plantain chips served with Chimichurri and Avocado Crema. Wonderful! The plantains were thin and crispy, and the sauces were delicious. Our lunch was the Churrasco Steak and the Sabor Chicken Paella. The steak was a perfectly cooked, char grilled medium rare, juicy, tender, flank steak. You can pick a sauce with the steak to add flavor. The fiery Fiery Habanero Mojo was perfect and added the right amount of spice and heat. My wife had the Paella and rated it as excellent. Nice spices and perfect flavors. Tender flavorful chicken and sausage with rice and vegetables made the dish. The service was on par with any high end restaurant and they have a large wine selection. The restaurant is in a revitalized area of down town Wichita. There is plenty of parking and it is just a neat area. If you like this cuisine you must try the Sabor.
Queso appetizer was great They have some red hot sauce that was very good. Fire roasted chicken with green beans, and chimichurri sauce was very good. Salvador Pupusa pork with black beans and side of Mac and cheese was great!
Joey was the absolute best! He was friendly, knowledgeable, prompt and great at what he does. The food was delicious as well. Will definitely be back next time we’re in town. Thanks, Joey! Give the young man a raise!
We tried the veggie options and after having 2 full plates, we were contemplating ordering another one. The food was full of flavor, homemade gourmet meal that gives the perfect warm meal feeling. Highly recommended!
The Mejillone y chorizo was delicious, as was the Sancocho Soup. Sabor Parilla plate for two was alot of food and a good sampling. Out waitress was very friendly and attentive.
Sabor is one of the finest restaurants Wichita has to offer! The food, drinks, atmosphere, and the staff were all amazing! Our waiter was training someone and still catered to us with ease. We came on a Sunday for dinner and it wasn’t jam packed like Fridays and Saturdays. I really enjoyed that slower paced and not so crowded vibe. Here are the must try items: Ceviche, calamari, fish tacos, scallops, paella, steak medallions, and their margaritas. Give this place a try and you’ll be hooked! Happy eating!
This eatery has a fusion of Latin American Staples with a couple of new twists. The menu is pretty expansive and can likely appease even the pickiest of eaters. They have an excellent bar menu and I highly recommend the pomegranate margarita! Prices are a little above average but well worth the cost for excellent service, excellent food and a great atmosphere.
